Riddle Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community best known for its three levels of care: Independent Living, Personal Care, and Skilled Nursing. What you may not know is that we also offer a type of stay in our community known as Respite Care. So, when is a stay in Respite Care the best option? Caregiving is a full-time job that can be stressful, time consuming, and exhausting. It is understandable that relief is necessary! A stay in Respite Care is common when a caregiver is not available for a certain length of time for various reasons. Something like an out-of-town trip or even just needing a temporary break can lead families to look into Respite Care.
Quality Care
Residents in Respite Care receive the same care that our Lifecare residents living in our Personal Care receive. This includes medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, and round the clock check ins every two hours. Staff is also available to help residents get to and from meals and activities. Every apartment is equipped with emergency pull cords, and there is always a registered nurse on staff in the case of an emergency. Weekly housekeeping and linen services help to ensure that every resident is taken care of.
The safety and wellness benefits of Respite Care ensures a stress-free stay for residents as well as their loved ones, and the amenities and services that are included guarantee a fulfilling and engaging time in our community. Residents have a full activity calendar, access to the amenities throughout the community, and delicious meals in our Personal Care dining rooms. All three meals are included in Respite Care, and our flexible dining hours help residents maintain independence and control their own schedule. All of our Respite rooms come fully furnished which means one less worry for families and loved ones. With a kitchenette area, private bathroom, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning, it is easy to feel at home in any of our apartments. Access to our transportation and wellness departments as well as rehabilitation services is available to all residents in Respite Care.
